The UK has left the EU and the transition period has now ended. This means that the UK has now left the EU Single Market and Customs Union and EU law no longer applies in the UK.

Please note that these webinars were accurate at the time of recording. On 28 April 2022, the UK Government announced that the remaining import controls on EU goods will no longer be introduced this year. You can read more about this here.
The Cabinet Office’s Border, Trade and Brexit Opportunities team have produced animations which focus on how to export goods between the EU and GB.

Since 1 January 2022, VAT on imports in France are no longer collected by the customs authorities. They will instead be automatically reverse-charged on the importer’s French VAT returns.
