Zendure SuperMini Go Magnetic Wireless Charger Review – Irish Tech News – Irish Tech News
The SuperMini Go from Zendure is a wireless charging power bank which has a retro camera appearance all bundled into a rugged plastic shell. The SuperMini Go is starting crowdfunding today and Zendure has sent us one to check out ahead of time.
The SuperMini Go comes with a USB charging cable along with a lanyard-type wrist band, similar to what you get with most compact cameras.
Zendure set out to make the SuperMini Go look like a retro camera and they’ve certainly achieved that. Several people who saw SuperMini Go in the office asked what type of camera it was!
The device is light for a powerbank coming in at 224 grams and measuring 95mm x 67mm x 28mm.
The front of the device is a MagSafe compatible charging pad which will magnetically attach to compatible devices, or you can just sit non-magnetic devices on top of it. There are rubber pads to stop items from slipping off.
Up top, the shutter-like button acts as a power-on switch and if pressed twice, activates a lower power mode for charging devices that don’t require high output such as smartwatches or wireless earphones.
On the back, where the viewfinder would usually be on a camera, is a small screen that provides info on the battery capacity and indicates what type of charging is activated. When the screen isn’t active you would just think it is a piece of shiny copper but when active it illuminates through the copper. It isn’t always the easiest to see depending on the ambient light but it is a nice design touch.
Next to the button is a clip for attaching the lanyard and on the other side of the SuperMini Go, there is a regular USB-C and USB-A port which allows you to use charge anything else with a cable.
The overall construction, while looking classy, is rugged plastic and looks like it will take bumps and knocks with ease. The little screen may be harder to keep looking new, but overall the device should age well.
— 15W Magnetic wireless charging
— 20W fast 30 minutes charge up iPhone 13 to 50%
— LCD screen for status at a glance
— Charging 3 devices at the same time
— 10,000mAh capacity
— Portable credit card size
The key things for me with a powerbank like this are how fast can it charge a device connected to it, how fast can it be recharged once depleted and how portable is it. On all fronts the SuperMini Go is excellent. The SuperMini Go charges up in a couple of hours and you can add a 50% charge to an iPhone in half an hour.
The SuperMini Go is light enough that you can throw it in your bag or jacket pocket without really noticing it but is substantial enough and well designed so that when you place your iPhone on it you are not worried about it falling off of it!
It can also fast charge devices when connected via cable so it’s a versatile and compact device.
Zendure has been making power banks for some time now and continues to keep producing high-quality and functional products. The SuperMini Go is light and durable but still packs in most of the charging functions you will need to keep your mobile gear topped up on the go.
You can pick up a SuperMini Go via Indigogo now. There are some early bird deals available but the unit will retail for $69.99.
