Cloud computer developer Selligion raises seed round – Entrackr
Consumer cloud computer developer Selligion Technologies has secured Rs 3 crore in seed round from angel investors and startup founders including Vivekananda Hallekere, Nischay AG, Alvin Tse, and Prashant Priya.
The proceeds will be deployed to build a scalable cloud-based software ecosystem for future deployment while distributing a variant of the computer to a sizable number of students on a monthly subscription model, Selligion said in a press release.
Co-founded by Naman Chakraborty, Yoshita Sengupta, Joby John and Puneet Raheja, Selligion has conceptualised, designed and developed Praho, the first direct-to-consumer, hybrid cloud-based computer. It aims to enable every Indian to access uncompromised and affordable computers and the opportunities that come with it.
According to Selligion, Praho will first be made available to Indian students for Rs 399 or less to enable them to study, learn, browse, and code.
The Mumbai based firm said that it is currently piloting these computers they have built with real customers and will be opening sale for one variant of their computer to customers across the country before the year end.
