Zynga's Chartboost Gets IBM Computer Generated Ads Patent Nixed – Bloomberg Law

Zynga Inc. and its Chartboost Inc. unit convinced a federal judge to cancel an IBM Corp. patent, covering methods for improving computer-generated promotions, that they allegedly infringed.
The patent describes “the abstract idea of manipulating and organizing data,” which isn’t eligible for patenting, Judge Gregory B. Williams wrote in an opinion issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
