E-News | ITS recommends WVU-owned computers be updated with macOS Ventura – WVU ENews

The new macOS Ventura is now available for installation on WVU-owned and -managed computers and employees are encouraged to update at their earliest convenience. This includes employees at the Health Sciences Center.
Personally-owned devices used for work or study may also be updated anytime.  Installing this update can take up to an hour and will require a restart of your computer.
To avoid potential disruption on Tuesday, Jan. 3, when Ventura will be pushed to all WVU computers, ITS recommends faculty and staff schedule the update for a convenient time.
ITS has tested Ventura against critical applications, such as eCampus and Banner/STAR, and has found no compatibility issues
If you encounter a problem, call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444 or contact your college or department IT team. If you work at the Health Sciences Center and have problems, contact the HSC ITS Help Desk at 304-293-3631, option 1.
