On May 27th, 2022 at 8:00 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department received a case from Member’s 1st Federal Credit Union Investigators. Between January 18th, 2022 and January 20th, 2022, member Shirea Lake completed three remote check deposits into her account. Their details are as follows:
January 18th, 2022 at 11:21 p.m., check #208 for $100.00.
January 19th, 2022 at 7:08 p.m., check #211 for $420.00.
January 20th, 2022 at 5:21 a.m., check #212 for $200.00.
All three checks were drawn on the Americhoice Federal Credit Union account of Christian Swank. The three checks returned as closed account on January 24th, 2022 and January 25th, 2022, causing Member’s 1st FCU a total loss of $647.48. Following the deposits, multiple ATM withdrawals were conducted in the York, PA area. Surveillance photographs show Lake at the ATM.
Charges were filed and an arrest warrant has been issued.
