Court Blesses $11 Million Insurance Technologies Data Beach Deal – Bloomberg Law

Insurance Technologies Corp. will pay $11 million to settle a class action over a 2021 data breach that affected more than 4.3 million people, in a deal that won final approval from a federal judge.
Jay Heath, Edward Shapiro, and Daisy Becerra Lopez claimed the insurance software provider failed to protect customer information and allowed hackers to steal their names, addresses, phone numbers, driver’s license numbers, Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, usernames, and passwords.
Insurance Technologies is a subsidiary of Zywave Inc.
