Do you want some Stickers on your Windows desktop? – Ghacks
Microsoft is working on integrating support for placing stickers on the Windows 11 desktop. Users who run a recent Windows 11 version 22H2 Insider build can enable the functionality to test it out. It is likely that stickers support is coming to all users once Windows 10 version 22H2 launches.
Here is how sticker support is enabled on Windows 11:
A right-click on the desktop displays the new “add or edit stickers” option. The selection of the new menu item opens the sticker selection and editing interface. Windows 11 displays the wallpaper on the screen and the available stickers; everything else, including the Windows taskbar or desktop icons, are hidden in that phase.
You may then drag & drop it to another location, and resize it as well using the provided controls.
Closing words
It is unclear at this point if stickers will be enabled by default when they launch. Most users will probably ignore the feature, but some may like the idea of adding stickers to their desktops.

Work on something really valuable like “Rootkit Revealer” (which despite being ancient it’s probably still included in SysInternals) nah, STICKERS! Woooo!

Probably the same catlady now gets her beloved, IMPORTANT, stickers on the desktop. This is almost as useful and revolutionary and endless fun as emojis! Imagine, you don’t need WORDS anymore! Anyone can be a computer expert! In a glorious new development I would love to see only emojis and cute stickers as the only means to use a computer. “Want to install this software?” – HAPPY FACE EMOJI!

As much as I hate Win11, that is somewhat useful for customization, as long as there is a way to add your own stickers.

It’s absolutely beyond belief that Microsoft have time to futz with stupid stickers, and yet they don’t have the resources to work on real productivity problems such as the highest voted issue to restore the option to never combine taskbar buttons. Poop emoji is such a good representation of Microsoft’s products these days.

Travelers put stickers on their luggage (and cars). Kids put stickers on their lunch boxes. Some people like stickers. Some people don’t. So, some might like stickers on their “desktops.” (I’m sure critics of this use many features I think are worthless.)
Whoa. Just yesterday I was wishing for the ability to put stickers on my desktop. This is a miracle. Truly.
It boggles the mind that Microsoft created a “new” OS that can’t be used by three-quarters of all PCs on the planet for no good reason (yes, that’s right) and THIS is something people are being paid to do. A “feature”! This is like selling a new car and a new feature is it comes with a selection of bumper stickers and the ability to stick them on your windshield.
If you want to make an OS for idiots and toddlers, go for it. But maybe, call me crazy, working on a better OS for, you know, people who actually have to make a living using it should have been a bigger priority.

Goverments, military, research facilities and speca agencies have waited for this crucial function to arrive on their computers for way too long. I am so happy Redmond is filled to brim with serious professionals that keep adding useful things that users have been begging for forever. I also hope that stickers get top prority, so that whenever there’s a new cute sticker or some nicely optimized sticker update that brings cute wobbly eyes or captivating neon colored cheeks to some adorable woke monkey sticker, get the update without user interaction and the computer restarts right away! I love this brave new rainbow-colored world!
