If you are bored with Gmail’s interface, this is a good news for you. Google has introduced Gmail in a new avatar. In fact, Google is rolling out a set of design changes for Gmail, including a Material U design that was announced earlier this year. Gmail’s newly designed interface features a sidebar that allows users to switch between all four Google services – Mail, Chat, Space and Meet. With this, users will now receive bubble notifications for new chat and space messages. Users are currently given the facility to go back to the old Gmail layout. Gmail is reportedly also planning to make some additional changes to the email and communication platform later this year.

Updated interface for everyone
Gmail is now rolling out an updated interface to all users, including a new integrated layout for the platform that was first announced in January. The new design includes a sidebar on the left side of the Gmail interface that allows users to easily switch between Mail, Chat, Space and Meet.

Message ke notification through bubble
Gmail users can also receive notifications of new chats and space messages through the notification bubble. The notification will appear in the lower left corner of Gmail. The new design allows users to manually hide the side panel of the menu on Gmail.
You will be able to open chat messages in a pop-up window
Users will also be able to access individual or group chat messages from the chat tab. To gain access, Google explains that “to open a chat in a small pop-up window at the bottom of your screen, go to the top of any chat next to a chat message in the side panel and pop-up Click Open in. When you go to another tab like Mail or Space, the window keeps showing.”

They can also use the new view by clicking Settings-> Quick Settings-> Go back to the original Gmail view-> New Window-> Reload. However, even if these users do not have chat enabled, they will still get the new look, but by default in the Gmail-only view.
New Features for Gmail Tablet Users
According to a report by The Verge, Gmail’s tablet users are also expected to see more improvements to the platform, which could arrive later this year. According to the report, Google is also planning to add better emoji support and more accessibility features to Gmail, among other upgrades.
