Around 10,000 Amazon employees are being let go, but the pain isn’t being felt equally across the board at the digital and e-commerce behemoth. In 2021, 74 percent of Amazon‘s operating profit came from Amazon Web Services, which provides cloud computing services to millions of businesses and individuals worldwide. In 2022, that percentage is projected to rise. The devices, human resources, and retail areas of the business have all experienced a significant wave of layoffs, but a senior AWS official recently, “I think that we actually will add some people next year” and now AWS is hiring.
 
The most complete and widely used cloud platform in the world, Amazon Web Services (AWS), provides over 200 fully functional services from data centers across the world. Millions of clients use AWS to save costs, increase agility, and accelerate innovation, including the largest corporations, most successful governmental organizations, and fastest-growing start-ups. As a result of the CEO of AWS preferring to employ unsatisfied and restless people and explaining why he wants to hire applicants with such attributes in a conversation with a magazine, AWS is hiring lazy and unsatisfied people currently.
 
Additionally, AWS’s objective is to provide you with a location where you may write, operate, and maintain your code at any operational size you choose for as long as you keep paying, and AWS CEO wants to hire unsatisfied and restless people. As a former AWS executive who worked for the Seattle-based software company for 11 years, Selipsky is a well-known name at Amazon. “Adam brings strong judgment, customer obsession, team building, demand generation, and CEO experience to an already very strong AWS leadership team,” Jassy wrote in a memo to employees in March.
 
 Adam Selipsky has a wealth of professional experience to draw from, including positions as vice president at RealNetworks and Amazon as well as five years as CEO of Tableau Software. Selipsky’s pursuit of these attributes has a lot to do with creativity, even though most people would find them unattractive. The Amazon CEO told Fortune magazine that unless one is unhappy with the way things are, they wouldn’t feel the need to innovate. “We discover people who want to be on a mission, who are restless and dissatisfied with what they see around them, who are curious by how the world works and how it can operate,” Selipsky said in an interview with Fortune magazine.
 
Selipsky asserts that after identifying people with this restless urge to reinvent themselves, he attempts to foster an atmosphere in which they can do so without restriction. He went on to say that we work to eliminate impediments from their way and try to free them up from as many duties as we can, giving them the freedom to focus solely on their goal. Selipsky asserts that given enough time, “nice and delicious things” can happen. He counselled the younger generation of professionals to hone their skills, identify their hobbies, and surround themselves with people who share their interests. He said, “Make sure you’ve got the right reputation,” during the interview.
Conclusion: The hardest decision CEO Andy Jassy had to make during his 18 months in charge was deciding who to fire. He explained that “the economy remains in a challenging condition” and that “we’ve hired extensively over the last several years” helped justify the layoffs and he now implies that he likes to hire dissatisfied and restless people.
