Sox fans lament Jiménez injury on Twitter – NBC Sports Chicago
Watch
The White Sox saw their losing streak extend to six games, behind another poor performance at the plate. Vince Velasquez struggled again, and the shoddy defense continued, too. But the most significant development was yet another injury to a star player. This time it was Eloy Jiménez, who had to be carted off the field with a hamstring injury in the second inning.
On Twitter, fans responded with emotions that ranged from anger…

Me @ God for giving Eloy and the Sox another major injury for the 87th time in the past year

Iâm bummed about Eloy man. The guy has so much talent but Iâm starting to have serious doubts about him being able to reach his full potential. He canât reach his ceiling if he canât stay on the field consistently. It sucks.

I donât even know what to say anymore. I hope it isnât as serious as it looks for Eloy. pic.twitter.com/FTlzdAUlg8
White Sox fans are understandably fed up with guys going down, as the team has been devastated by injuries in the early goings of the season. The Sox lost centerfielder Luis Robert earlier this week to a mild groin strain. Josh Harrison has also been sitting with back spasms. In addition to those two, the Sox have seven players on the Injured list, including key figures like Lucas Giolito, Joe Kelly, Lance Lynn and Yoán Moncada.
