Williamson Medical Center recently invested in two da Vinci robotic surgical systems to enhance its minimally invasive procedures and reduce surgical patient recovery time.
Williamson Medical Center and Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee will host an event July 19 where the community can learn about advanced surgical technologies up close and personal.
Community members can drop in as they please from 9-11:30 a.m. in the WMC West Tower at the children’s hospital atrium. Light refreshments will be served, and guests will walk away with WMC and BJIT swag, including a new “Kindness Matters” T-shirt. There will also be a drawing for a free pair of Apple Air Pods.
Four surgeons will give presentations on hysterectomies, hernia repairs, total shoulder replacement and hip and knee replacement. There will also be demonstrations on how to operate robots and navigation devices, and guests will get the opportunity to try them. A complete schedule of events is included below.
Free hernia screenings will also be given throughout the event.
