YouTube career not taking off? Here is how to delete your YouTube channel – Yahoo Finance
Did you decide your dreams of YouTube stardom aren’t quite panning out? Maybe the catalog of videos on your channel haven’t garnered enough views and subscribers for you to quit your full-time job. Whether you simply want to put your channel on pause or shut it down completely, YouTube makes it fairly simple to do both. But you will need a computer, as YouTube doesn’t allow users to delete their channels on mobile devices.
You might want to consider the finality of deleting your YouTube channel as you weigh whether to delete or hide. You won’t be able to recover any of its contents and any subscriptions to YouTube TV or YouTube Premium associated with the channel will be canceled.
Sign into YouTube Studio.
Click the settings icon in the left sidebar.
Click on “channel” and go to “Advanced settings.”
Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Remove YouTube Content.” You may be asked to sign in again.
Click “I want to permanently delete my account.”
You will be asked to check two boxes, each explaining exactly what will be deleted.
Click “delete my content.”
To temporarily hide your channel or its content, follow the same steps and click "I want to hide my channel" at step five.

When Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter for $43 billion 10 days ago, the platform didn’t welcome him with open arms. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO is in some ways Twitter’s biggest fan—he uses the platform to share views and news to such an extent that the US Securities and Exchange Commission stepped in to require that company lawyers help moderate his feed. Twitter initially responded with a “poison pill” defense that would dilute the value of Musk’s shares, if triggered, and make any takeover effort very expensive.
Elon Musk's $44 billion leveraged buyout of Twitter is continuing to elicit strong emotions across the board. Musk, the world's wealthiest man, finally succeeded in his bid for the social media platform on April 25. Twitter's board had been loudly resisting his overtures for week's, and the company even adopted a poison pill strategy to prevent any possibility of a hostile takeover.
Following his purchase of Twitter, Elon Musk broke his silence through a tweet celebrating free speech and hinting at his plans for the company.
