Apple updates macOS Monterey, Big Sur and Catalina – iTWire
macOS Monterey 12.4 brings changes to Podcasts and Messages, along with unspecified bug fixes and security updates.
Podcasts now allows users to limit episodes stored on the Mac and automatically delete older ones.
Messages now includes the ability to warn parents when their children receive or attempt to send photos that contain nudity. It also delivers safety warnings with pointers to helpful resources for children when they receive photos that contain nudity.
Monterey 12.4 also includes support for Studio Display Firmware Update 15.5 (available as a separate update), which provides improved noise reduction, contrast and framing.

There are more than 50 security fixes in the update. Issues addressed variously allowed arbitrary code execution (sometimes with kernel privileges, which is about as bad as it gets), information leakage, privilege escalation, and sandbox breakout, among other issues.
macOS Big Sur 11.6.6 and Security Update 2022-004 Catalina each fix more than 30 security issues of similar severity.
Safari 15.5 for Big Sur and Catalina addresses three WebKit issues, all of which provided a way for malicious web content to execute arbitrary code.
Xcode 13.4 addresses a pair of security issues.
